Loading Dock Seals for Energy Savings and Weather Protection
Loading dock seals create a tight seal between the dock opening and the rear of a trailer, helping facilities reduce energy loss, protect freight, and improve comfort around shipping and receiving areas. Designed for high-traffic loading docks, warehouses, distribution centers, cold storage areas, and manufacturing facilities, these foam-filled dock pads help block wind, rain, snow, dust, insects, and outside air during trailer loading and unloading.
Durable Three-Piece Seal Construction
Each dock seal uses a three-piece foam pad design with durable nylon reinforced vinyl facings for strong tear resistance and long service life. Chemically sealed ends help prevent moisture infiltration, while the pads are mounted and bonded to treated wood for structural support. Built-in air escape tunnels allow air to release when contacted by a trailer, helping the seal compress properly and maintain better contact.
Door Size and Projection Options
This family includes dock seals for 8 foot wide by 8 foot high and 8 foot wide by 9 foot high door openings, with projection options ranging from 10 inches to 20 inches. The range allows distributors and end users to match seal depth to dock conditions, trailer positioning, and building requirements. A maximum compression of 5 inches is recommended for proper performance.
Options for Added Protection
Available options include wear pleats, guide stripes, armor pleats, heavier facing material, header variations, sloped verticals, bottom bun pads, repair kits, and other configurations for application-specific needs. A completed dock seal survey is recommended to confirm sizing, and units are non-returnable due to custom fit requirements.
